splitting blogs a bit

For those that haven’t noticed from my posts elsewhere, I’ve at least partially split where I put up my blog posts.  This will stay for family posts (and yes, we are really attempting to update it more consistently!) .  The training and racing posts for me at least will be on another blog I started [...]

Fatigue

The past several weeks (actually closer to 6-8weeks)  I’ve been feeling pretty drained and been having a hard time waking up on time and getting the motivation for my workouts.  I figured it was a bit of burnout, or maybe the stress of a new kid/bad economy/life at a start-up/financial scare due to deferred salary/slight [...]

Hours training: 508
Miles on bike: 4155.34 (697.39 from commuting)
Miles Run: 605 (~88 miles playing soccer)

Not too shabby for [...]

Training and commuting

This weekend I finally got the knobby tires on my cyclocross (aka CX) bike and hit a good CX course. For those not familiar with a CX course or cyclocross racing in general – think of it as racing on a road bike with knobby tires sort of like mtn bike tires, only narrower, [...]
