We’ve been a bit busy lately as can be seen by my not posting my results yet from the Bolder Boulder, which happened two weeks ago. On to correct that - This year’s Bolder Boulder was much more enjoyable than last year, partially because I knew the course so the uphill wasn’t a horrible surprise and [...] Just a quick post saying that yes I did complete the half marathon last weekend! Thank you to Hill, Brenna, Tana and a few other friends that cheered along the way! I do need to put some more mileage in before doing something like that again though as my legs and body have [...] Tomorrow is the Platte River Half Marathon and for some reason I have massive butterflies about the race. I know I can go the distance as it will only be another 1.2miles beyond my longest run to date. It may be that the weather is semi “ify”. Even though I have been running 5-6 miles for many of my training runs over the past several months, training runs and races are not [...] I just saw my results for Rudolph’s Revenge, and they are better than I thought. Place overall – 101/308 dang – top half on everything, for “distance” running and me that’s pretty darn good! Today was the first of the next year of my life – to celebrate, I planned on running a 5k at the first of the Winter Distance Series, Rudolph’s Revenge. The race was at Chatfield State Park and was well organized. Though fairly cold, quite a few people showed up making for a good [...] In the past week, we’ve been a bit busy. Two Saturday’s ago was my last cyclocross race and it was a good family event as well. The weather was great cyclocross weather – ie miserable by most other standards. Lots of snow, grey skies and cold weather. My dad and Hillary’s parents came to the [...] This past Thursday, Ben, Tana, and I headed out to Moab to meet my parents for a little hiking, biking, and “racing”. We pulled into town Thursday evening and my Mom and a great dinner waiting for us. Friday, we had a relaxed morning and then go ourselves organized to go hiking. [...] Ben and I were supposed to run the Skirt Chaser together, but we couldn’t find a babysitter for Tana.
